BLOOMIN' HELL, THE HOFFS GOING TO HOLLYWOOD
Tierd of whoring himself out as the face of Pipex, it has been revealed that the Hoff is developing plans to bring ‘80s classic TV show Knight Rider to the silver screen … and Orlando Bloom has been lined up by the prince-of-perm to play Michael Knight’s son.
Bloom – who played peroxide mullet-haired elf Legloas in Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy – was approached personally by the Hoff at a swanky showbiz party.
The DG is mightily excited by the thought that Hoff and Bloom (sounds like a dodgy BBC One detective show, don’t it), will be riding out as Knight and Knight Jr, though they’re gonna have to do a lot of updating to bring gobby sportscar KIT into the 21st century. While the automotive motormouth looked fancy in 1984, in hindsight it was basically sat nav with rocket launchers. As Bloom himself said on the Graham Norton Show last night, “it’d look a bit shit, wouldn’t it”.
